Edit, reschedule or finish a task
The side panel, the Board, and sending a task to Route.
- Click a task. It opens in a panel on the right (full screen on a phone).
- Change anything and click Save. Area groups tasks (Sales, Shop, Office…).
- Click Tomorrow or Next week to move the due date in one tap.
- Click Delete to remove it.
- Use Add Task at the top for a full form in the same panel.
The Board
- Pick Board under Show. Each Area gets a card with lanes: Now (in progress), Next (open), Waiting and Later, with Done folded at the end.
- Click a task on the Board to open the same panel.
Send to Route
Only when Send to Route is on in Task Settings. It is off by default.
- A task with a property: assign someone, then click Send to Route (or tick it on Add Task). It becomes a one-time $0 Service on that person's Route day, due day or today, and shows on Base like any Service.
- A task with no customer needs only an assignee and a day. Add a time, Contact name, Phone, Place and Busy for if you like. A timed task marks the person busy, so Base and Smart Routing warn before booking over it.
- Tick Private and others see only Busy and the time.
- The pill shows where it is: On Route, On Site or Route Done. Marking the visit Done closes the task and copies the visit notes back to it.
- The Route filter shows Route and office, On Route or Office only.
Task Settings and Task Templates are the round buttons beside the Tasks title. Task Settings also has Service For Route Visits, Busy For Default and Busy For Choices.
