Safe Mode

A pause button for customer messages: while it's on, nothing goes out to customers and you can see what would have.MoreLess
What It Does
Holds every email, text and app notification to customers and lists it in the Outbound Log on this page instead of sending it.
What It Changes
Customers get nothing while it's on. Your own email and cell and your Test Recipients still get messages, so you can test. Updates and database changes turn it on by themselves while they run, and it ends on its own after the Send Safety minutes.
How to Use
  1. Click Turn On Safe Mode before a big change, like an import or a new automation.
  2. Do the work, then check the Outbound Log for what would have gone out.
  3. Click Turn Off Safe Mode when it looks right.

Send Safety Settings

How every email, text and app notification is checked before it goes out.MoreLess
What It Does
Sets the limits and checks every send passes, like how many a minute and who tests get.
What It Changes
Applies to the next send. The Demo never sends and update tools always use Safe Mode.
How to Use
  1. Go down each setting and read its line.
  2. Change only what you need.
  3. Click Save Send Safety.
Help Article

Updates turn Safe Mode on while they run; if one stops partway, Safe Mode ends by itself after this many minutes.

An automatic email or text that's later than this (after an update, pause or outage) is skipped and logged, never sent late.

If more automatic customer sends than this would go out in 10 minutes, the rest are held until someone presses Resume.

Your own email and cell always count. Add other numbers here only if needed.

Always on: the Demo never sends, update and test tools always run in Safe Mode, and every send needs this check first.

Outbound Log

Every email, text and notification that went out, or was held, and why.MoreLess
What It Does
Lists each one with when, what, who it was from and the result.
What It Changes
Read only. Held messages show the reason, like Safe Mode or Sandbox.
How to Use
  1. Pick what to show.
  2. Read Result and Why.
  3. Click Older to go back further.
