Website: build your site from your CRM

Build My Site, edit Blocks, preview at 1280, 390 and 375, Publish, Ask Sprout, Page Check, pictures, History and Hide from Google.

Website (menu: Website > Pages) only shows when it is on for your company. Your site has a free address shown on the Pages list. Nothing is public until you click Publish on a page.

Build My Site

  1. Open Website > Pages and click Build My Site.
  2. Five draft pages are made from your CRM: Home, Services, About, Reviews and Request a Quote. Your company name, phone, Services, reviews, hours and service area fill in by themselves.
  3. Click a page to edit it, then Publish when it looks right.

Editing a page

  1. Each page is a list of Blocks (Hero, Text, Picture, Services, Reviews, Request a Quote and more). Click the arrow on a Block to change its words, picture, Look and Layout.
  2. Drag a Block or use the up and down arrows to move it. The switch hides a Block without removing it.
  3. Blocks marked Live read your CRM each time the page opens, so new Services and reviews show up without editing.
  4. Your changes save by themselves as a draft. Undo and Redo (Ctrl+Z) work on everything you did since opening the page.
  5. Switch the preview between 1280 (computer), 390 and 375 (phones).

The Request a Quote Block sends visitors to Quote Requests, the same as your quote form.

Ask Sprout

  1. Type what the page is for (for example "spring aeration offer") and click Ask Sprout. Sprout fills the page; your old version is saved first, and Undo puts it back.
  2. Pick a Block, then use Shorter, Friendlier, More local, More professional or Fix spelling to rewrite its words.
  3. With your AI on (Settings > Text Assistant), each plan has a monthly number of Ask Sprout uses, shown on Website Settings. With AI off, Sprout uses the built-in starters.

Page Check

  1. The cards above the editor score Speed, SEO, Readable and Phone Fit, and each one names the first thing to fix, like Add Description or 2 Long Sentences.
  2. Click a card to open its checklist: every check with Pass or Fix and what to do.
  3. Leads · 30 Days counts your Quote Requests; click it to open them.

Pictures, History and Google

  1. Use the free pictures, or + Your photo to add your own. Photos are resized and cleaned up for you.
  2. Every Publish and Ask Sprout change is saved in History. Restore to draft puts an older version back as a draft.
  3. Hide from Google (Website Settings) is on until you are ready, so search engines skip the site while you build it.

Where and How

Your own web address

Remove any other A or AAAA record for @ and www, or the site may load on some phones and not others. Changes take up to a day.

What It Changes

Once it says Points here, we put your address on our server with a free secure certificate and it turns Live. Then View Site and your page links use your own address. Only your public website opens there, never your CRM or sign-in.

Start from a template's look

A template's look changes fonts, corners, buttons, space and the top bar. Your colors stay.

Ask Sprout

Blank uses the plan. Set a client's number in Clients Monitor (client page, Ask Sprout row).

Your pictures

Applies to every public page, inside .site only. No @import, no outside pictures, 20 KB at most.

Colors

Marketing › Website › Style › Colors

The colors of your public website.

What It Does

Sets the site's main colors, or uses the same ones as your CRM.

What It Changes

Every public page changes at once.

How to Use
  1. Tick Same as My CRM, or pick your own colors.
  2. Check the preview.
  3. Click Save.

Your Site

Marketing › Website

Your site's free web address and whether Google can find it yet.

What It Does

Shows the address and the Hide from Google switch.

What It Changes

Hide from Google stays on until you're ready. The Demo is always hidden.

How to Use
  1. Open the address to look at your site.
  2. Turn Hide from Google off when it's ready.
  3. Add your own web address below if you have one.

Site Reviews

Marketing › Website

Reviews people left on your site wait here until you approve them.

What It Does

Lists reviews sent from a Site Reviews block, newest first, with who sent them and their stars.

What It Changes

Approve shows a review on your site. Hide takes it off. Nothing is ever deleted, and the words are never edited.

How to Use
  1. Read the review.
  2. Press Approve to show it, or Hide to keep it off your site.

Build My Site

Marketing › Website

Make your website pages in one click, with your own details already in them.

What It Does

Builds six pages, and one page per Service if you tick it. Lists every page with its status.

What It Changes

New pages stay drafts until you press Publish on each; nobody can see a draft.

How to Use
  1. Pick a look, then press Build My Site.
  2. Open a page to change its words or parts.
  3. Press Publish when it looks right.

Speed

Marketing › Website › a page

How much a phone downloads before the visitor scrolls. Under about 340 KB is quick; pictures further down load as the visitor scrolls.

What It Does

Adds up the page's style file, its blocks and the pictures near the top.

What It Changes

Nothing. It only measures the draft you're editing.

How to Use
  1. Click the Speed card.
  2. Use smaller or fewer pictures near the top if it says Fix.

SEO

Marketing › Website › a page

What Google needs to list the page well: a title and description in the lengths Google shows, a main heading first and enough words.

What It Does

Checks the Google Title (25 to 60 letters), Google Description (70 to 155), the main heading and at least 60 words.

What It Changes

Nothing. Fix the title and description in the Page tab.

How to Use
  1. Click the SEO card.
  2. Open the Page tab.
  3. Fill in or shorten what it says, or press Write Them for Me.

Readable

Marketing › Website › a page

Easy reading: headings under 70 letters, sentences under about 40 words, and a description on every picture.

What It Does

Takes 15 off for each long heading or undescribed picture, and 10 for each long sentence.

What It Changes

Nothing. Edit the words in the block it names.

How to Use
  1. Click the Readable card.
  2. Split the long sentence it quotes, or add the picture description.

Phone Fit

Marketing › Website › a page

How the page works on a phone: a short hero heading, nothing hidden, not too long, and a button to reach you.

What It Does

Checks the hero heading (48 letters), parts hidden on phones, 14 parts or fewer and a contact or quote button.

What It Changes

Nothing. Preview at 390 or 375 to see it as a phone does.

How to Use
  1. Click the Phone Fit card.
  2. Fix what it lists.
  3. Check the 390 preview.

Text Size

Marketing › Website › Style

Text Size and Heading Size make the words on every page a little smaller or larger. Normal is how it looks today.

Cards, Lists and Pills

Marketing › Website › Style

Card Edge, Card Space and List Lines change the Services and Reviews cards and list rows; pills follow the Buttons shape.

Form Fields

Marketing › Website › Style

Field Height and Field Lines change the boxes on your Request a Quote form.

Undo and Reset

Marketing › Website › Style

Undo goes back to what you last saved. Reset goes back to the Style as it comes.

What It Does

Lets you try changes without fear.

What It Changes

Neither changes your public pages until you press Save Style.

How to Use
  1. Press Undo or Reset.
  2. Check the preview.
  3. Press Save Style to keep it.
