Today's Teams: change crews for one day, and Team Leaders

Move someone to another team or Off for a day, Undo, More Days, Make Permanent, and how a Team Leader changes their own team from Route.

Everyone keeps a home team on Employees > Teams. Today's Teams changes a crew for one day only, and the next day everyone is back on their home team on their own. No texts are sent because of a move.

  1. Open Today's Teams from Base, the Dashboard card, or Employees > Teams.
  2. On a computer, drag a name onto another team. On a phone, tap a name and pick a team or Off Today.
  3. It saves right away. Tap Undo on the message to put it back.
  4. Tap a name for more: Back to Home Team, More Days… (keeps the move through an end date) or Make Permanent (makes it their home team).
  5. Use ‹ and › to plan another day. Reset Day puts everyone back for that day.

What follows the move

  1. Services stay with their team; the person goes to the work.
  2. If a team ends up with nobody, it shows a warning and Move Services To… so you pick where its Services go that day. Nothing moves on its own.
  3. Field, the Time Clock and crew pay follow the team the person actually worked on. Commission rules by team keep the home team.

Team Leaders

  1. Pick a Team Leader on each team (Employees > Teams). A Leader pill shows by their name.
  2. With Change My Team Today on their role (Employees > Roles), a Team Leader taps their team name at the top of Route, then Change My Team.
  3. There they add people to their own team for the day, or send their own people to another team or Off. They never see office pages.

Who Hears About a Move

  1. With Team Change Notices on (Settings > Modules > Teams), the moved person and the Team Leaders of both teams get a Route alert and a phone notification.
  2. It covers day moves, Off Today, Back to Home Team and Make Permanent, for today or a later day.
  3. It waits 2 minutes and bundles quick changes, so dragging someone around sends one notice for where they end up. An Undo before then sends nothing.
  4. Never a text or an email. The person who made the change is not told.

Change Today's Teams (all teams) is on for Admin and Office. Change My Team Today is on for Technicians and only works for a team's Team Leader.

Base › Today's Teams

Moves people between teams for one day; everyone is back on their home team the next day.

What It Does

Lets the office change crews for a day without touching anyone's regular team: a sick day, a big property, a short crew.

What It Changes

The move counts only on that day (or through the end date you pick). Services stay with their team, the person goes to the work. Route, the Time Clock and crew pay follow the team they actually worked on. With Team Change Notices on, the moved person and both Team Leaders get a Route alert and a phone notification about 2 minutes after the last change. No texts are sent.

How to Use
  1. Drag a name onto another team on a computer, or tap a name on a phone and pick a team or Off Today.
  2. Use Undo on the toast if needed.
  3. Tap a name for Back to Home Team, Make Permanent or More Days.

My Team Today

Field › Team Name › Change My Team

As Team Leader, add people to your team or send them off for the day; it resets the next day.

What It Does

Lets a Team Leader change their own crew for the day from Route, with no office pages needed.

What It Changes

Only your team changes, and only for that day. People you add come from their own team for the day; anyone you send off shows as Off. No texts are sent.

How to Use
  1. Tap a name under Everyone Else to add them to your team.
  2. Tap one of your own people to send them to another team or Off Today.
  3. The office turns this on with Change My Team Today on Employees › Roles.
