See your Service on the iPhone Lock Screen and in CarPlay
In the iPhone app, the Service you are on shows on the Lock Screen, in the Dynamic Island and on the CarPlay dashboard, with a running timer.
In the iPhone app, the Service you have open on Route shows as a card on the Lock Screen: Next: Smith · 123 Oak St and a timer. It needs the iPhone app update that adds it, and iOS 16.2 or later.
- Start a Service on Route (Drive or Start). The card shows up on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- The timer runs on the phone by itself: drive time while you drive, time on site once you start. When you pause, it stops.
- The card has Directions and Open Route buttons. Tap the card itself to open that Service.
- On iOS 26 with CarPlay, the same card shows on the CarPlay dashboard. It has no buttons there; open Route on the phone when you are parked.
- When you Save and Finish the Service, the card goes away about 15 minutes later (the next time Route loads). Starting a different Service replaces it.
The card always shows the customer name and street, so the crew sees where they are going at a glance.
The card updates whenever Route is open in the app. iPhone allows a card for up to 8 hours, then it stays on the Lock Screen up to 4 more hours. Live Activities can be turned off for the app in the iPhone's Settings > Pelican Bend.
